Families for Autism is a registered charity & non-profit organisation supporting autism in the community. We launched on the 10th August 2010 and our mission is to provide support, encouragement and understanding to children and young people on the Autistic Spectrum and their families within the Eastbourne and East Sussex area.
Founded by parents, carers and other family members who all have children or young people on the autistic spectrum. We are a passionate, caring group of individuals who experience autism on a daily basis. We have a total understanding of how to meet the needs of all our children and young people.

Our mission is to provide support, encouragement and understanding to children and young people on the Autistic Spectrum and their families.

Aims

Our stated charitable aims are:

  • To support children and young people on the autistic spectrum by providing a range of activities and services in an autism friendly environment.
  • To support parents, carers and other family members by giving them some valuable respite time whilst the children and young people are within our care.
  • To provide opportunities for parents to meet when ideas can be exchanged and problems discussed.
  • To provide outings and social events for the children, young people, parents and extended family.
